Gerry “Rocky” Seader, drummer and bandleader of Rocky and the Rollers, has heard this over and over again from passengers on his Rockin’ Cruises during the past decade. “When I was in college, I was a disc jockey for the local radio station and would often be asked to judge twist competitions,” recalls AAA Member Bill Leavitt. “I wasn’t much of a dancer, but figured I ought to learn the twist. Freddy Cannon was my favorite artist to twist to. On the Rockin’ the Caribbean^® cruise, I’ve gotten to do the twist while he sang live. I even got to meet Freddy and take pictures together. It was a dream come true."
