The island enjoys a fusion of Danish, French, Spaniard, West African and Carib influences. To learn about the island’s history head to Fort Christian Museum, built as a military fort by the Dutch in 1680. Along with beautiful beaches, there is one thing that sets St. Thomas apart - shopping. Browse the shop-lined streets and shop for duty-free trinkets and bargains on liquor, china and crystal.

St. Maarten is a place where over 120 cultures meet. Taste it in the island’s cuisine that features a mix of French, East Indian and island flavors.
