DAILY ITINERARY:

Upon arrival in Zurich, you’ll have one group transfer from the airport to your hotel. The afternoon is free to enjoy the largest city in Switzerland.

Tonight join your fellow travelers for an included Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Meal(s): Welcome Dinner with Wine

Hotel: Sheraton Hotel Zurich or Similar – 2 Nights

After breakfast head to Europe’s largest waterfall, Rhine Falls, with a width of 150 meters and height of 23 meters you are sure to feel the roar and vibration of the powerful water. You will also enjoy the best views of the falls from the medieval castle of Schloss Laufen.

Later return to the banks of Lake Zurich and enjoy a sightseeing trip on the lake. The remainder of the day is free to explore the city on your own.

Journey to the Appenzell Alps today and take the aerial cable car from Weggis to Kaltbad , offering views of Lake Lucerne and the Bernese Alps. After the cable car you will board the cogwheel train to Rigi Kulm for a 360-degree views from the top of the Queen of the Mountains.

Afterwards continue to the beautiful city of Lucerne where dinner tonight is included at the hotel.

This morning, we’ll make our way to Mt. Pilatus. Travel to Kriens to board the panoramic gondola to the Frakmuntegg summit terminus. Look down upon forested views, then swap your gondola for the aerial cableway for a quick ride to the summit. Standing at 2132 meters, Mt. Pilatus offers mountain top vistas, gourmet food, relaxing terraces, a chance to learn about the legend of the Dragon and why it is the symbol of Mt. Pilatus.

Afterward, return to Lucerne to enjoy a lake cruise and take in the beauty of Lake Lucerne.

After dinner your free time gives you the opportunity to visit the Lion Monument, the Jesuit Church and the Chapel Bridge in beautiful Old Town.

This morning, travel to the village of Brienz where you will gain insight into the centuries-old tradition of wood carving for which this village is so famous. Spend some time on your own and take in the superb views of the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland before enjoying a traditional fondue lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch continue on to Interlaken for the night.

Hotel: The Hey Hotel or Similar – 2 nights

Today, head to the alpine town of Grindelwald where you will take the Eiger Express tricable car to Kleine Scheidegg, the mountain pass located between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks. The famous movie the Eiger Sanction was partially filmed here. Enjoy a scenic walk to take in breathtaking views of the most famous north face of the Alps. Do a little shopping or enjoy some lunch at one of the cafes in the area.

After lunch, descend the mountain on the Wengeneralpbahn cogwheel train back to Grindelwald for some free time. Explore the shops, grab a snack or relax in one of the outdoor cafes before enjoying an included dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner travel back to Interlaken for the evening.

Today, you will travel to Bern and enjoy a city tour with a local expert. See the city’s highlights, including Old Town (a UNESCO-listed site), the famous Zytglogge clock tower dating from the 12th century, Renaissance Fountains, Bear Park (the emblem of the canton of Bern), and the Rose Garden where the first roses were planted in 1917. There will be free time to enjoy lunch on your own, before heading back to Lucerne for your last evening.

Tonight, enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, there will be one group transfer from Lucerne to the airport in Zurich. Transfers from Lucerne to Zurich are approximately 1 hour. Please do not schedule flights prior to 12:00 Noon. Flights prior to 12:00 noon will need to make their own arrangements for transfer from Lucerne to Zurich airport.
