DAILY ITINERARY:

Arrive at Haneda Airport and meet a local representative for a group transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening. (D)

Keio Plaza Tokyo, 3 nights

During a full day of sightseeing, the group will visit Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace and Gardens. After lunch, visit Asakusa Sensoji Temple (the oldest Buddhist temple) and time for shopping in Nakamisa arcade.

Today visit the Tsukiji Fish Market and have a Sushi lesson with lunch. Then visit the birthplace of Sumo the Tomioka Hachiman shrine and then onto Fukagawa Fududu temple for an exciting Fire Ceremony and drumming! (B, L)

This morning, we visit the tallest mountain in Japan, Mount Fuji, a cultural icon of Japan and one of the Three Holy Mountains. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi, a crater lake with magnificent views of Mount Fuji, and take a thrilling Hakone Komagatake Ropeway tram ride. Tonight, enjoy a Japanese/Western dinner at the hotel. After breakfast we visit the picturesque city of Hakone with its peaceful atmosphere. At the Open-Air Museum you can say a prayer and relax in the beautiful scenery. After, we visit Ovakudani, created around 3,000 years ago as a result of the explosion of the Hakone Volcano. Enjoy dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Take an early transfer to Odawara Station to board the Bullet Train. Enjoy First-Class seats and thrill to the smooth ride. Tonight enjoy a group dinner. (B, D)

Granvia Kyoto Hotel. - 4 nights

Enjoy a full day tour of Kyoto including the Nijo Castle and the Kinkaku-ji Temple. It was spared from large scale destruction in WW2. This is home to the Nintendo video game company. After lunch explore the Gion district of Machiya with traditional Japanese houses and teahouses. Tonight, enjoy a group dinner with a Geisha and Maiko traditional experience. (B, L, D)

This morning, take a walking tour of the beautiful ancient temples of Nara. Tour the Nara Park and its Places of Scenic Beauty, the Great Image of Buddha and the Sasuga Taisha Shrine, one of Japan’s most sacred sites. Evening at leisure. (B)

Visit the UNESCO Zen Buddhism Tenryuji Temple with its landmark 400-year-old wooden Togetsu-kyo Bridge. Tonight, bid farewell to Japan and our fellow travelers at an epic Group Dinner. (B, D)

After breakfast, take a private group coach transfer to Kansai Airport for departure to the US or optional extension to Seoul, Korea (B)
